Last Day of Classes

POLICIES

TuitionThe monthly tuition is spread equally over 9 months and does not necessarily reflect the number of classes in the month. Holidays, winter break, spring break, and shorter months were all taken into consideration when setting yearly tuition. Pro-rating will be considered when signing up mid-month.

Registration Fee/Discounts 2022-23 Registration Fee (1 per family) This $80 fee will be applied before your first payment. The registration fee does NOT apply to one time camps, but may appear on the accounts of newly enrolled families and will be deleted before it is charged. Yearly tuition is divided into equal monthly payments. Subsequent payments will be automatically charged to your credit or debit card on file. All multi-class discounts, sibling discounts, specials, and prorates will be applied before your credit card is processed. 10% discount on additional classes.

Parental Authorization Although every effort is made to create a safe environment, I realize there is always a risk of accidents. If necessary, I authorize Once Upon A Ballet to administer first aid treatment and/or emergency treatment for me/my child on my behalf. I further release Once Upon A Ballet from all liabilities for injuries or damages arising out of personal injury of any kind.

Withdrawals Withdrawal from a class requires a 30 day written notice. Email is accepted. Registration fee and first payments are non-refundable. Summer Camp fees, Holiday Camp fees or one-time-event fees are non-refundable but can be given credit on client’s account.

If your child must drop due to a COVID closure, a 30-day written withdrawal is required to stop tuition payments. No refunds will be given for the current month. If the studio should have to close for a short period due to Covid, in this case, we would provide a temporary virtual option. In the event the studio must remain closed for more than 3 weeks due to government shutdown, at that time, students may request a withdrawal. In the event that a child must miss due to a personal or family quarantine, class credits will not be given, we will be happy to offer make-up classes.

Late Payment Charge Please note that outstanding balances due to rejected debit will result in an automatic ADDITIONAL DEBIT of $25. The penalty fee will be automatically billed to your account and debited along with the current delinquent tuition. Once Upon A Ballet LLC reserves the right to cancel registration or bar further participation in any OUAB program or event until all financial obligations are satisfied.

Sample Classes A first-time sample class may be scheduled where space is available.

Make-Ups Make-up classes are permitted in another age-appropriate class. Reservations are required in order to participate in a make-up class. Reservations must be made by phone and will be accepted one day prior to the day of the make-up class. There will be no credits or refunds issued if make-ups are not used.

Inclement Weather Cancellations We follow Charleston County School District’s school cancellations. No credits will be given for inclement weather days.

Cancellation of Classes Once Upon a Ballet and Musical Theater Center reserves the right to cancel any class at any time.

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures As a private facility, we will closely observe state mandates and local health officials while continuing our mission to provide a safe and healthy environment for learning and performing dance and theater arts. Our student body will be notified should these policies change due to our community environment and/or mandated and recommended guidelines. We are taking these steps to ensure that classes and rehearsals are able to continue weekly, without interruption.

Policies and Procedures for our Studio

  • As of 11/16/21 students are not required to wear masks. Masks may be reinstated at any given time to keep our students and staff healthy.
  • Upon entering and exiting, students will be asked to sanitize.
  • Temperature checks may be performed periodically when staff and teachers see fit for anyone entering the facility.
  • If a student has a snack break, they are asked to socially distance themselves from those around them.
    • The studio has been and will continue to be professionally cleaned by a licensed company.
    • In addition to professional cleaning, our studios and common facilities, including high traffic surface areas, will be cleaned and disinfected multiple times a day with added sanitizer available.
    • We have Medify Air Purifiers that are located in all areas of our building (classrooms, hallway, lobby and upstairs).
  • Students may not have their cellphones in classrooms
  • Limit the number of items you carry into the building. Wear your dance shoes in, and bring a water bottle. Lockers are for Troupe Students only and will be assigned.
  • If a student or family member is feeling ill or being tested for COVID-19, please contact us right away for the proper procedures moving forward. Do not attend until we have instructed.
  • Financial responsibilities: If your child must drop for any reason, a 30 day written withdrawal is required to stop tuition payments. No refunds will be given for the current month. If the studio should have to close due to Covid, we will provide a temporary virtual option. In the event that a child must miss due to a personal or family quarantine, class credits will not be given, but we will be happy to offer make-up classes if available.
  • Please note, we may ask that masks be removed during a vocal audition or a small vocal rehearsal in which social distancing can be observed.
  • If circumstances allow, we hope students can perform without masks on.
